Name: Carlos L. Gran Date: August 14th, 1930 - August 1st, 2009 Obituary: Carlos L. Gran, of Mt. Holly passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 1, 2009. He was 78. Born in Panama, Mr. Gran was a Mt. Holly resident since 1965 where he was a retired US Army Master Sergeant who served in both Korea and Vietnam. He was also a retired federal agent for the FDA. He loved to travel and enjoyed the time spent with family and friends. Loving companion of Teddy Smith for over 29 years; he is survived by his three children, Bernetta I. Henri (David), Calvin L. Grant (Nancy), Christine H. Grant; a sister, Annalee Brown; a niece, Sandra Gaillard; 8 grandchildren, Tiana Taylor, Tamika Bivens, Calvin Andre Gran, Jerry Wade IV, Etosha Gran, Brent Henri, Wayne Green, Tamika Williams; and 8 Great-Grandchildren . Funeral service will be held Thursday, 10 am at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly. Interment will follow at the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home and again on Thursday from 9am until time of service.
