Name: Ilse Marie Snyder Date: October 8th, 1926 - February 3rd, 2010 Obituary: Ilse Marie Snyder (nee Schmidt), 83, died peacefully at home on Feb. 3rd. She was born in Stettin, Germany and enjoyed summers of her youth in Rügen. Affectionately known as “Omi”, she was known for her beautiful heart and generous spirit. She regaled all with familiar and precious stories of her homeland. Omi was the ultimate in hospitality and family. She will be desperately missed by all whose lives she touched. She was predeceased by her husband Earl J., and beloved sons Norbert “Earl” and Reinholt “Ron”, and granddaughter Erin. She is survived by her nieces Heidi Eckert and Janie Penfound and their families; daughter in law Louise Joyce, and former daughter in law Susan Costigan; grandchildren Karl, Danny, and Kelsey Snyder, Catherine Seidle, Rachael Kooser, Lauren Quinn, John VF Crawford III, Kerry Gantt, Gabe Quinn, Louise Gwalthey, and 13 Great-grandchildren and several loving family members remaining in Germany. Viewing will be held Monday, Feb. 8th from 6 to 8 pm at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be ,made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
