She was 85. Born 27 August 1924 in Oakland, MD, Mrs. DeWitt was the daughter of the late Ernest and Blanch Wolf. She grew up in Oakland, MD and most recently lived in Shamong. Mrs. DeWitt was retired from Jamesway. Mary was a past Gold Medal Winner in the NJ Senior Olympics. She did volunteer work during WWII. Beloved wife of the late Darrell DeWitt; her children are Darrell DeWitt, Jr. (the late Beverly) of Cinnaminson; daughter Carol (Jack) Scheimreif of Tabernacle; Richard (Patricia) of Harrisburg, PA; Sandra (Harry) Drayton of Shamong. Also 8 grandchildren: Kimberly Shaffer of Oakland, MD, Annette Henrie of Birdsboro, PA, Jason Scheimreif of Southampton, Darrell DeWitt, III of Maple Shade, John Russell of Shamong, Jacob Scheimreif of Tabernacle, Budd Russell of W. Berlin, Ashley Drayton, of Shamong; and 10 Great-granchildren. She was the sister of the late Carl (Helen) Wolf of Oakland, MD and Ernest (Rachel) Wolf of Mountain Lake Park, MD; and is survived by a sister Alice (Warren) Rumer of Fallston, MD. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly. Interment will be in the Beverly National Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
