Name: Ruth E. Asson Date: August 7th, 1922 - May 23rd, 2010 Obituary: Ruth E. Asson, of Southampton passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Virtua Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lumberton. She was 87. Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident, longtime member of the Burlington County PTA, Order of Eastern Star, and was very active in the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Holly and later the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Vincentown. Wife of the late Raymond E. Umstead and H. Sterling Asson Jr.; sister of the late Donald Atwood, Earl Atwood, Kenneth Atwood, Harold Atwood; she is survived by her two daughters, Karen Mauel, Evelyn Brock (Fred); a granddaughter, Jessica L. Mauel; a brother, Raymond Atwood; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Graveside service will be held 11 am, Friday at the Crosswicks Cemetery, Crosswicks-Hamilton Square Road, Hamilton Twp. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, PO Box 2212, Vincentown, NJ 08088.
