Name: Joseph F. Dries Date: March 21st, 1920 - July 25th, 2010 Obituary: Joseph F. “Snuffy” Dries passed away at the NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland. He was 90. Joe was born and raised in Mt. Holly, graduating from RVRHS and was recognized as the outstanding Athlete of 1938. Joe was a US Navy Veteran of 30 years serving in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Joe received numerous commendations and awards during his military service career. Joe went on to serve his country as a purchasing agent and specification writer for the US Department of Defense Logistics. Predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years Anne Marie (nee Opolka), his parents John J. & Katherine Dries (nee Moncorn); a brother, John Dries; and two sisters, Margaret Anderson & Marie Goley. He is survived by his son, Joseph Dries (Mariann); a daughter Pamela Pesnell (Fred); three grandsons, Aaron Pesnell (Lori), Joseph Dries III (Sheri), Erik Dries (Angie); and four great-grandsons, Erik Dries Jr., Matthew Dries, Jaxon Dries, Landon Pesnell. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 pm, Friday at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 260 High St., Mt. Holly. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hainesport. Friends may call on Friday from 12 pm until time of service at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly.
