Almeta "Mitzie" S Cramer

Almeta S Cramer “Mitzie” of the Evergreens in Moorestown, NJ age 91 passed away on September 7, 2021. She lived 60 years in Pemberton Township on the “Cramer Farm” where she was a devoted wife and mother of Ed, Joe, Janice and Nancy. Her love and support was unconditional. Mitzie, as a young woman, dreamt of living in New York City. She realized that she liked people and the energy there. Even though she never lived in the city, she lived a very full life with her husband Edgar. He kept her on the go! When she was home she loved shelling June peas and lima beans on the front porch. Working in her yard in the fall she loved raking and burning leaves along with making homemade applesauce. She took great pride in maintaining her home and caring for her family. For several years she enjoyed being a volunteer at the Mount Holly Hospital Coffee Shop and she taught Bible School in the summer at The First Presbyterian Church in Mount Holly. She always loved getting together with her siblings; Jim, Jane, Stan, Bus, Alice and Ada and traveling with her husband on car rides in the fall, trips to Europe, train rides through the Rocky Mountains or to their winter home they shared for 18 years in Islamorada, Florida. There she enjoyed entertaining guests that wanted to escape the cold. Cooking her husband’s fresh catch of the day was something she looked forward to. Saturday nights were dance nights and she loved music and dancing. Mitzie and Edgar were known for their barn dances and the energy they had for putting on a fun and entertaining party. Mitzie gave her children the best birthday parties, crepe paper and balloons were hung in the dining room and she loved organizing games for the parties such as Duck, Duck, Goose, Pin the Tail on the Donkey, Huckle Buckle Bean Stalk and the list goes on. The wife of the late Edgar H. Cramer; she is survived by a son Joseph A. Cramer of Pemberton, 2 daughters, Janice C. Trevorrow (Bob) of Oxford, Maryland and Nancy L. Cramer of Pemberton; 6 grandchildren; Richard Cramer of San Francisco, California, Brian J. Cramer of Sea Girt, New Jersey, Michael J. Cramer (Cory) of Pemberton, New Jersey, Steven A. Cramer (Trish) of Southampton, New Jersey, Meghan L. Walker of Manhattan, New York, Stephanie E. Walker of Manhattan, New York and 7 great-grandchildren. Graveside services at the Mount Holly Cemetery will be held privately for family and close friends on Monday at 11:00am.
