Stephen A. Moore Sr.

Stephen Arthur Moore 61, passed away on October 23rd, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Stephen was born on May 23, 1960 to Ernest and Gladys Moore of Masonville, NJ. He is survived by his children; Stephen Arthur Jr and Michelle (McTague) Moore, of Westampton, NJ and Shawn David and Sam (Mercer) Moore of Westampton, NJ. He also leaves his longtime partner and love of his life, Edna Fenimore. Leaving behind an extensive family including his adored grandchildren; Victoria, Greyson, Leonardo, Lucas, Paxon, and Asher. He leaves his siblings, Paul and Sharon (Delinger) Moore of Mt. Holly, Gregory and Joy (Moore) Niemiera of Townsend, MA and David Moore and Theresa Dandrea of Acto, NJ as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his brother-in-law Ralph and sister Judith Sharp (Moore) of Mount Laurel, NJ and his parents Ernest and Gladys (Loveman) Moore of Mt Holly, NJ. After graduating from Lenape High School, Medford NJ in 1978, he entered the United States Army. He was stationed at Fort Bragg NC; where he served as a paratrooper for four years and was deployed to Grenada during The Rucksack War. Following his discharge, he became a certified diesel mechanic and worked at several local firms. Stephen was a devoted father, brother and friend. He also loved and cared for the people he met along his life’s journey. He especially enjoyed coaching area youth football teams, winning multiple championships over a twenty year period. Steve had a huge impact not just on the kids he coached but anyone he would meet. Even when he may have been the one in need, he always was willing and ready to help as needed. He was that person who would fill the gap you had in your life. Whether as a father, brother, friend, mentor, he was anything you needed him to be. He was also a spiritual man and attempted to involve himself with the local church as much as he could including fishing trips with his sons. Stephen will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him. Viewing hours are from 5-7 PM on Thursday October 28 at Perinchief’s funeral home Mt Holly, NJ, with a service at 7 PM. A burial service with Military Honors will take place at 2 PM on Friday October 29 at Lakeview cemetery, Cinnaminson, NJ.
