************PLEASE SEE NEW SERVICE AND VISITATION TIMES!!!************ On January 19, 2021, surrounded by his family, Alfred Robert Johnson, Jr., was called home. Al is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Deborah (nee Borne); his 3 girls who were his pride and joy and their husbands, who were the sons he never had: Jennifer Winslow (Kenneth) of Cherry Hill, Ellen Farr (Matthew) of Burlington Township, and Cynthia Pugliese (Louis) of Lumberton. He is also survived by six grandchildren whom he adored: Andrea, Madelyn, Allison, Alexander, James, and Andrew; his sisters Judy and Anne; brothers-in-law Ronald, Allen, Michael, and Timothy; sisters-in-law Alana, Kate, and Deanna; and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and a multitude of friends and golfing buddies in NJ and FL. Al was predeceased by his parents, Alfred Robert, Sr. and Emily of Delanco, NJ. Al, an Army National Guard veteran, was the retired owner of Advertising Design Systems, Inc. which he ran for 28 years. Prior to opening his own business, he was advertising manager at the Burlington County Times. He shared his love of life and good humor with everyone he met. He acquired many friends through his love of service: Samaritan Hospice board of directors, Rotary Mt. Holly Past President, Our Lady Queen of Peace, Sacred Heart Church, and Our Lady of Light Catholic Community choir member, RVRHS Education Foundation founding member, and the Mt. Holly Masons. Al was thrilled to relocate to sunny Florida so he could spend lazy beach days with Debbie and indulge his golf habit year-round. When not on the links or beach, he loved to be with Debbie (even if it meant shopping at Home Goods), spend time with his children and grandchildren, golf with the Wednesday Knights, sing, barbeque (even in NJ in January), tinker in his garage, and wash his cars. He was never idle; he always had another project or trip in mind. Al opened his heart and arms to all. He always had a smile (and a pun or two) to share and went out of his way to help. Al maintained his positive outlook, strong faith, and sense of humor as he battled pancreatic cancer. He will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High Street, Mt. Holly on Wednesday Feb 3rd from 4:00-7:00 pm. Face Coverings must be worn and social distancing guidelines followed. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Mass of Christian Burial will be limited to family, friends may participate in Mass by joining the livestream on Thursday at 10:30 am at https://youtu.be/Zmb6UOb2NDI Expressions of sympathy may be made to his family on his tribute page at www.perinchief.com In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Al’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Moffitt Cancer and Research Center in Tampa, FL.
