Angela Vita Covelli

Angela Vita Covelli née Fraccalvieri born in Italy on March 27, 1927, was the oldest daughter of nine siblings. She was affectionately known as Lina, Mamma, Mom, Zia and later, as Nonna. Lina passed peacefully on November 26, 2018, in her own home with her daughters by her side. She was married to Rocco for 41 years before he passed in 1989, and she was never interested in another man.....according to Lina, there was no other man as good as Rocco. Lina’s indomitable spirit and generous soul, helped her overcome many challenges in her life. With little formal education, and as an Army wife, she was able to travel with young children to different countries, even getting her first driver’s license while stationed in Germany. Sadly, while in Germany, she also suffered the loss of two infant sons, Robert and Joseph. Besides the love for her family both immediate and extended, she proudly boasted of the many years she worked at the Child Development Center on Camp Darby, Italy. Many of the children she took care of, along with her coworkers have long lasting and fond memories of Lina. All her family and friends will remember Lina’s sweet smile along with all her varied passions and hobbies, including cooking phenomenal homemade meals, traveling, crocheting, card playing/gambling, and never letting back or knee pain keep her from dancing. Most of all, Lina will be remembered for the joy she found in telling stories about her life experiences. As the Matriarch of the Covelli Clan, her passing will leave a huge void within her family, but her spirit will live on in the loving legacy she left behind with her three children, ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Philip, the oldest son, who preceded her in death in December 2013, his wife Eileen, their four children: Justin (Caroline) Ronan and Rhys. Philip (Becky) Hailey, Luke, Colson, Elliana. Gemma (Tony) and Finn. Gioia (Ergys) Camila and Matteo. Her daughter Joanna Nevadomski (Steve was like another son) their three children: Verushka (Otis) Bojhenna and NiiOkai. Vashti and her two sons, Talan and Bryson. Nikolas (Kerry): Nicholas, Lorenzo and Cash. Her youngest daughter, Cristina Di Bernardo (Vincent) and their three children Dylan, Daniella and Diana. She was joined on her last journey by her sister Maria who passed the very same day in Italy. She leaves to cherish her memories one surviving sister, Luisa, many nieces and nephews, here and In Italy and friends from all around the world. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 1603 Marne Highway, Hainesport, NJ on January 12, 2019 at 11 AM . A visitation and “Celebration of Life” will also be held on Saturday January 12, 2019 from 1-3 PM at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly. Burial at Arlington National Cemetery on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 2 PM.
