David Alan O'Neill

David Alan O’Neill, 74, of Westampton, NJ passed away at home surrounded by family on February 9th. He was born in Mount Holly, New Jersey, on November 3rd, 1950, to Marian and John O’Neill. David worked all his life starting with painting houses with his stepfather John Tiesi. He delivered newspapers shortly after that, and worked at the CS&I when he was in high school. David joined the Marine Corps at 23. He worked a few different jobs after the Marines. He worked at Vulcanized Rubber and US Pipe to name a few. Eventually, David got a job at the Department of Defense on the Fort Dix and Mcguire Joint Base doing plumbing and pest control. He received many awards of excellence while there. David worked there for 30 years and retired from there at 60 years old as the supervisor of the pest control office. David was a godly man who read his Bible every day and prayed. He met his wife while working at the Fountain of Life Center Church. He also was baptized in the lake there. He enjoyed going out to eat with his family and spending time with his family. Spending time watching movies was something he loved to do in his free time. David liked to keep busy by doing yard work and work around the house. He could not sit still and was always looking for something to do. He adored his daughters and taught them many things. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson. David also enjoyed taking care of his little fur buddy, Obie. He always made sure his wife and family were taken care of. David is survived by his wife of 44 years of marriage, Annette (nee McKelvey) O’Neill; oldest daughter, Sarah O’Neill; youngest daughter, Kristen Vermeesch (Justin); and only grandchild, Frankie Vermeesch. David is also survived by his brother, Micheal O’Neill (Janet); sister, Nancy George (Eugene); sister, Marian Hasinger (Mark); and by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his brother, Johnathan Tiesi, and nieces Tamantha Hathaway, and Bethany Adams. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, February 15th from 11-12 PM at LifeGate Assembly of God, 1607 Jacksonville Rd., Burlington. A celebration of his life will take place on at 12 PM at the church. Interment will be held privately at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made directly to his family.
