David Everett Taylor

David E. Taylor passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2017 at the age of 55. He was born at Fort Dix Hospital and lived all his life in the Mt. Holly area. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Katherine, his children Heather and Brian, his parents, Phil and Jeannette, and his sister Linda. David graduated from Trenton State College. David worked for the Delran School system as a Technology Support Specialist. He loved his job and the people he worked with. He thought working for a school was the best job in the world. David was a lover of reading, movies, travel, eating out and all things Apple. His favorite authors where J.R.R. Tolkien, Stephen King, David Eddings, Arthur C. Clark and Stephen R. Donaldson. He loved to quote movies and TV shows, especially Monty Python. We could never have cheese without him going into the Cheese Shop skit from Python. You couldn’t have a conversation with Dave that wasn’t filled with movie quotes. His love of travel took him to London, Scotland, Jamaica, Mexico, Florida, New Hampshire, Vermont, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, San Francisco, South Carolina, and Martha’s Vineyard, Kentucky, New York, Washington DC. He loved to eat at Outback Steakhouse in every state he went to. David was up for any adventure that his family came up with, even though he would rather be at home watching a movie or playing a video game. Some of the adventures he went on were rock climbing, mud runs, snorkeling, tandem parachuting, camping, paintballing, skiing, zip lining, hiking, He loved to play Dungeons & Dungeons. He began playing D&D in high school and continued to play throughout the years with a great group of people. He accepted his illness with a shrug and said, “It is, what it is.” He believed that everything that could be done was being done and that the outcome was out of his hands. He tried to keep his sense of humor throughout the whole ordeal. He always tried to live life to the fullest. Before he passed he said that he had done so much in the time he was given. He had no regrets. He was a loving husband and father. His family and friends will sorely miss him. On Death: GANDALF: End? No, the journey doesn't end here.
