Dorothy L. Washington-Crain of Burlington Township, NJ, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Virtua Rehab in Lumberton, NJ. She was 70. The daughter of the late, Mae Pearl Washington, Dorothy was born in Waco, Texas, on September 4, 1953. She was the oldest of six children. Dorothy attended Waco public schools, and graduated with her General Education Diploma, from Moore HS, in 1968. After graduating and moving with her family to various states in the U.S, she became a New Jersey resident. She was a resident of Burlington County for over 40 years, where she worked as a nursing assistant at Buttonwood Hospital and Deborah Hospital and more recently worked at Walmart and Dollar Tree. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with family and socializing with friends. She enjoyed trips to the casino and organizing events in her apartment complex. Dorothy was always helping others and loved to help take care of friends. Dorothy is survived by 5 children: Robert Mosley, Jr (Mary), Alvin Darnell Crain, Jr (Charlotte), Tony Ray Crain (Melissa), Alicson Crain, and Bob Crain (Lisa); grandchildren: Tre, Jordan, Matthew, Sidney, Marcus, Sophie, Ava, Daziah, Dayanah, and Kenny Darville (Tracy); great-grandchildren: Haleigh, Zoeigh, A’lexeigh, and Oakleigh Darville, and great-grandchildren Kaleigh, Cameron and Roman; her brothers: Bobby and Patrick Mollet; her sisters: Christina (Mollet)Wilson, and Kimberly Mollet. She is also survived by her Aunt Bertha Mae and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is predeceased by her mother, Mae Pearl, her brother, Douglas, and her sister, Charlotte. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 11:00 am, at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly, NJ. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10am – 11am at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hainesport.
