Ernest E. Errigo

Ernest E. Errigo, 92, recently of Lumberton, NJ and Port St. Lucie, Florida, passed peacefully and comfortably in his sleep on August 2, 2026, while residing at Brightview Senior Living in Mount Laurel. He was born in south Philadelphia to Nicodemo and Filomena (Cola) Errigo. He had four older brothers he adored: Joe, Fred, Rich, and Nick, and a twin brother Gerard who sadly passed away at age 2. He moved to Pennsauken as a teenager and met his future wife Margaret (Peggy) Dunne, with whom he enjoyed a loving 26-year marriage until her death in 1984. Together they built a successful business and happy family. Ernie also loved Peggy’s family, especially her mother Catherine Dunne, who cared for Ernie like a son, and who he remained devoted to even after Peggy’s death. Ernie was a talented carpenter/cabinet maker, and opened his own company, Dimensional Studios in 1967. He enjoyed the hard work and success for three decades and also enjoyed being able to provide jobs for others while supporting his own family in a way he never could have imagined as a young child. He was an incredible example of the American dream being realized. He was a proud first-generation Italian American, but an especially proud patriotic AMERICAN, first and foremost. He served his beloved country for two years in the Army as a young man and was stationed in Germany. He was an outgoing, friendly, generous, high-energy person. He was incredibly positive and usually saw the silver lining and considered himself a very blessed man. He thanked his children for finding Brightview, Mt. Laurel, where he felt safe and very well cared for in the last few years of his life. He loved joking around, dancing, bocce ball, the Phillies, Frank Sinatra, and singing “My Way” while changing the lyrics to “Ernie’s Way,” especially at the end. He prayed that when it was his “time”, God would allow him to go to sleep and way up in heaven with his “angel” wife who he missed terribly and was looking forward to seeing. Ernie is survived by his three children, Noreen (Jim Hoff), Ernie (Marian) and Jerry (Beata). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, including baby Amber who took her first breath a few days before Ernie took his last. The Circle of Life and a Life Well Lived. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family on Thursday evening from 6-8pm at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Saturday at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Church, 260 High St., Mount Holly. Interment will follow in New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Belmawr.
