Jacques W. Sanders Sr.

Jacques W. Sanders Sr. aka Jack passed away suddenly on July 6, 2022, at Virtua Memorial. He was 63 years old. Son of the late John and Ada Sanders, Jack was born October 25, 1958. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Jack was one of seven children. In 1978, on a blind date, Jack met the love of his life, Bessie. The two were married 10 months after meeting and have been together for 44 years. Jack worked as an Iron Worker for the Local 40 Ironworkers union in New York for 38 years. Jack retired in 2020 as a supervising foreman. Jack also owned and operated Sander’s Fish and Chips in Brooklyn, NY. Jack was a hard worker, when he started a task, he always saw it through to the end. A man who can do anything, if you needed anything fixed his wife would say “Jack can do it.” Jack has been described as a super-smart man who was full of life. Known to enjoy a cold Stella Artois, if you knew Jack and asked him how he was, he would reply with a “We Good” or a “My Man”. A friend to all, Jack would leave a lasting impression on all who knew him. Jack was an avid fan of the NY Giants and NY Knicks and often cursed them on their performance. He also enjoyed gardening and traveling with his wife. Jack will be truly missed. Jack's passing has devastated all, we will keep his memories alive Jack is no longer physically here with us, but he will be forever in our hearts, he will truly be missed by all. Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years Bessie Sanders, his children April Florence and her husband Al, and Jacques W. Sanders Jr. his grandchildren Shamar, Isiah, Elijah, Jayden, Janae, and Jacques III, his siblings Laurie, Lynn, Denise, Lamont, and Melody, as well as his numerous favorite nieces and nephews and cousins and aunts and uncles and dear friends. Jack is predeceased by his brother Barry. Funeral services for Jack will be held on Saturday, July 16 at 10 am at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High Street Mount Holly NJ 08060. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with his family from 6-8 pm on Friday, July 15 and from 9-10 am on July 16 at the funeral home prior to the start of the funeral services.
