John F Wister III

John Francis Wister, III of Van Buren, Arkansas, formerly of Delran, passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2018. He was 35. John grew up in Delran and was a 2002 graduate of Delran High School, where he played football and was a member of the track team. After graduating, he continued his education at Rowan College at Burlington County, where he studied Computer Science and Business Law. John always had a desire to make people happy and give them more than their share of warm laughs. John’s charismatic personality and sense of humor could brighten anyone's day. He was a tremendously caring and kind-hearted person who took great joy in making others around him feel welcomed and appreciated. While John was always very glad to share his breadth of knowledge, love of magic, science, physics, and history, along with his passion for playing chess, and an occasional practical joke, his best attribute was his ability to listen to others and make them feel extra-special by his thoughtful deeds and actions for those who shared their stories with him. As an avid reader in his pursuit of knowledge, John could often be found scouring the internet for facts as he took many others with him down the rabbit hole of discovery and exploration related to many topics of discussion he would share. He received the greatest pleasure from spending time with his family and friends he considered extended-family creating lasting memories. He had a love for animals and especially his family pets. Although he had moved to Arkansas, he still maintained his love for the Phillies, Sixers, Flyers, and Eagles. John is survived by his father, John Wister, Jr., his mother, Amy Rivell, and stepfather, Chris Rivell, brothers, Daniel Wister (Erin), and Patrick Wister, nephew, Carter and niece Camryn, grandmothers, Patricia Kachelein, Geraldine Wister, and step-grandparents MaryAnn Rivell, Raymond and Marilyn Rivell, and his uncles Jeffrey Kachelein, James Wister (MaryAnn), Dennis Rivell, and William Biebel (Carolina), and his aunts, Sarah Dunne (Tim) and Cheryl Flitcraft (Steve), along with his many loving great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Daniel Kachelein, and John Wister Sr., and his aunt, Patricia A. Kachelein. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday evening from 6-8 pm and Tuesday morning from 8-9 am at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 am at the Sacred Heart Church, 260 High St., Mount Holly.
