Laurence R Pagani

Laurence R. Pagani of Willingboro died on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Cooper Hospital in Camden. He was 76. Born in Mansfield, Ohio, to Richard and Helen (Long) Pagani, he was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School, class of 1961. Larry’s career was spent in the food service business which began at Gervis Brown Derby in Mansfield, OH. He moved to NJ in 1974 to manage the Ponderosa Steak House in Willingboro, where he met his wife of 44 years. He retired from Burlington County Special Services School District where he was Food Service Director for 32 years. Larry was a ham radio operator for many years and coached baseball in Willingboro and Burlington City. He enjoyed gardening, golf, and watching football, basketball and baseball games. He is survived by his wife Terri (nee Gruber); 4 children, Melissa Pagani, at home; Todd Pagani (Margie) of Massillon, OH, Angela Wood (Mike) of Spencer, IA and Elaine Bradley (Bruce Keller) of Mansfield, OH; grandchildren Kristen Pagani of Massillon, OH, Gregory Pagani (Emily Bryant) of Burlington City, James Gethers of Burlington City, Jaylen Clarke at home, Anthony Bradley, Ian Bradley (Amanda) and Jessica Meek (Brian), all of OH, Brittney Webster (Matthew), Ryan Wood and Meghan Wood (Eric Meighan) all of IA; and great-grandchildren, Corey Vogelsong of OH, Brayden and McKenna Pagani of Burlington; and Lucy and Grace Meek, Caleb and Cameron Bradley all of OH, Josephine Meighan; and Cecelia, Leroy, Wyatt, Tayler and Tori Webster, all of IA. He is also survived by 5 siblings: David Pagani, Carol Lewis (Monroe), Kenneth Pagani, Cathy Musille (Tom), and Christine Mickley (Eric), all of OH. Other survivors include mother-in-law, Audrey Gruber of NC, sister-in-law, Pat Ryder of PA and nephew, Henry and family; brother-in-law, John Toutant of Lumberton, nephew, JP Toutant and niece EJ Toutant, brothers-in-law, Tim Gruber of PA and Jeff Gruber (Angi) of TN and nephews, Christopher, Patrick and Douglas and their families; uncle, Dale Long (Lil) of OH and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Lou Pagani, brother, Bob Pagani, great-grandson, Sebastian Pagani, sister-in-law, Debra Toutant and father-in-law, Arthur Gruber. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 16 at 11 am at the First United Methodist Church of Delran, 32 Conrow Rd., Delran, NJ 08075. Calling hour is at 10 am at the church. A luncheon at the church will follow the service. Contributions in Larry’s memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church Youth Group at the address above.
