Linda Carilli

Linda Carilli, age 58, of Moorestown, New Jersey, an executive in health and pharmaceutical public relations, died October 30, 2009, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania from complications following lung surgery. Born March 23, 1951 in Englewood, New Jersey; Linda is survived by her husband Edward and sons Ethan and Dylan Carilli, all of Moorestown, New Jersey, and her parents Bill and Charlotte Webb of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. Mrs. Carilli’s career of over 35 years spanned health, consumer and issues communications. Most recently, she was a senior vice-president in the healthcare practice at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in New York City, New York. Previously she was General Manager of Public Affairs for Weight Watchers International where she directed consumer affairs, government relations, and public relations, including the company’s program with spokesperson Sarah Ferguson, The Duchess of York. Earlier Mrs. Carilli worked in communications at the Thomas J. Lipton Company and at the Good Housekeeping Institute. She began her career as a therapeutic dietitian at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston. Mrs. Carilli earned a bachelor’s degree from Douglass College, Rutgers University and received a master degrees in nutrition and communications from Sergant College, Boston University. She was later appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor of Health Science at the institution. She was a devoted wife and mother, an active soccer mom, and a dear friend to many. Mrs. Carilli was a member of the Center for Conscious Living in Moorestown, New Jersey. A public memorial will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 11 a.m. at The Center for Conscious Living, the Moorestown Community House, 16 East Main Street, in Moorestown.
