Michael Rudderow

Michael Rudderow, of Tabernacle, New Jersey, passed away on July 8, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on Father's Day, June 15, 1958 and raised in Medford, New Jersey, Michael was the eldest of four children born to Walter and Judy Rudderow. He was a devoted brother to Peter ("Huck"), Douglas (who preceded him in death), and Diane Rudderow. Michael graduated from Shawnee High School before proudly enlisting in the United States Navy in 1978. In 1980, he married the love of his life, Barbara (Ray) Rudderow, beginning a marriage that spanned 46 wonderful years. Together they moved to San Diego, California, where Michael served as a Sonar Technician aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Harry E. Yarnell. In 1989, Michael and Barbara returned to New Jersey to build their family. They were blessed with three children—Michael, Ian, and Rachel—who were the greatest source of his pride and joy. Michael was a devoted husband and father who worked tirelessly to provide for his family, always placing their needs before his own. After returning home, Michael became a Class A truck driver and dedicated nearly 20 years of service to US Foods. He was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to those he loved. Michael had a passion for experiencing life. He loved traveling, exploring new places, relaxing at the beach, and spending time on the water. Music was a constant source of joy, and he especially enjoyed attending concerts, with Jimmy Buffett always among his favorites. A lifelong athlete and devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, Michael celebrated one of his happiest sports memories when Nick Foles led the Eagles to their first Super Bowl championship in 2018. Above all else, Michael cherished his family. Whether gathered for holidays, vacations, or everyday moments, he found his greatest happiness simply being with the people he loved. His kindness, sense of humor, loyalty, and selflessness touched everyone who knew him. Michael's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all whose lives were enriched by his love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on August 8th at the Vincentown United Methodist Church, 97 Main Street, Vincentown, N.J.
