Paul W. Blazewick Sr.

Paul W. Blazewick, Sr., of Eastampton, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. He was 86. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA; the son of the late Leo and Anna Catherine Blazewick. Paul was a loving Husband for 61 years, a loving Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, and Uncle. Nancy fell in love with Paul because he was kind, warm, sincere, loving, had beautiful brown eyes and was extremely handsome in his uniform. Paul greatly enjoyed all the children he was blessed to have in his life and was extremely thrilled when he became a Great-Grandfather. Paul was a jet engine mechanic throughout his career; he served 26 years active duty with the United States Air Force and 20 years as a Civilian employee. During his active duty time, he was stationed in many places. Nancy met Paul in Pittsburgh while he was on a two week leave from Thule, Greenland. Paul was very active in the Vincentown United Methodist Church. He served on various committee's and was very active with the children's programs. He was affectionately known as the "candyman" as he handed out lifesavers every Sunday to children and sometimes adults. Paul was also an avid gardener. He grew vegetables and a variety of flowers, for which he was known to share with friends. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy; children, Paul Blazewick, Jr.; Linda (Chris) Ippoliti, and Jelane Blazewick; grandchildren, Paul (Mary) Blazewick, III, David (Kristen) Blazewick, Karen (Tom) Calabrese, and Michael Ippoliti; granddaughter-in-law, Nancy (widow of John) Blazewick; great-grandchildren, Alex, Dominick, John, Luca, Sawyer, and Maximillian; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Paul is predeceased by his grandson, John Blazewick and brothers, Robert and Edward Blazewick. Relatives and friends may visit the family on Friday, February 16 from 6-8 PM at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly and Saturday, February 17 from 10-11 AM at Vincentown United Methodist Church, 97 Main St., Vincentown (Southampton). Funeral services will be held at 11 AM at the church. Burial will follow in Vincentown United Methodist Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Paul’s memory to the Vincentown United Methodist Church.
