Regina Hemingway Jones

Regina Hemingway Jones, of Willingboro, passed away on September 5, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 93 years old. Daughter of the late Frank and Mabel Hemingway, Regina was born August 7, 1929, and was raised in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She attended Coughlin High School where she was a member of the choir, girl reserves, and speech, journal, and drama clubs, often landing leading roles in the Christmas plays. Regina also enjoyed roller skating, bowling, climbing mountains with her brothers, traveling to different countries with her sisters, and gardening. “Party Mommom” will be well remembered for her fun-loving nature, party games, dancing, and spectacular pranks. Regina worked as a telephone operator for Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, where she was employed until she was 87. Regina will be remembered by her family as their Hero, raising six children by herself as well as sheltering many of her children’s friends throughout the years. She was a strong woman and loved her family above all else. She will be greatly missed. Regina is preceded in death by brothers Frank Hemingway and Edwin Hemingway, and sister Marion Lippi, as well as her parents. Regina is survived by her daughters: Kathy (Lewis) Hemingway Jones, Cheryl (Luke) Jones, Mariclair (Jim) Jones Werrmann, her sons: Duane (Sheryl) Jones, Ned (Denise) Jones, and Jeffrey (Terry) Jones; her Hemingway sisters: Katherine Pugliese, Claire Humphrey, Lois Ann Smith, Caroline DeAngelo, and Rita Belcher; her grandchildren: Mike (Amanda) Jones, Christopher (Ashleigh) Jones, Patrick (Heather) Jones, Emily (Jose) Werrmann, Megan Jones, Liam Jones, Eamonn Jones; and her great-grandchildren: Ashlin (Ozzy) Jones, Michaela Jones, Aiden Jones, Leland Jones, Deegan Jones, Mackenzie Jones, and Brody Jones. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday September 12, 2022, at 11am at Sacred Heart Church, 260 High Street Mount Holly, NJ 08060. Friends and relatives are invited to attend Regina’s viewing from 10:00-11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church prior to her Mass. Entombment at Oddfellows Cemetery in Burlington will immediately follow her Mass.
