Robert Milton Reeves

Robert Milton Reeves, formerly of New Libson, passed away on May 20, 2023 at the Masonic Home. He was 97 years old. A life long Burlington County resident, Robert was born April 15, 1926 in New Libson, NJ. In 1950, Robert was drafted in the US Army where he was a part of the 710th Artillery division, and was stationed in Washington D.C, and was discharged with the rank of Sergeant. Robert was a hard-working man, working on his family’s farm, Reeves Blueberries, as a blueberry farmer. He also worked as a bus driver for over 31 years for the Pemberton School District. He also organized and was the first President of the Pemberton Township Bus Driver Association. Robert served on many different organizations. He was the Director, member, and past president of the Tru Blue Co-op Association, a member of the Burlington County Board of Agriculture, the NJ Farm Bureau, the Burlington County Farm Home Administration, former member, director, and past president of the Burlington County Cerebral Palsy Association, as well as former member and Chairman of the Pemberton township Board of Adjustment. Robert was also devout in his faith and was very active in his Church, the Grace Episcopal Church in Pemberton. He served as a Church school teacher, vestryman, clerk, treasurer, warden, and long-time choir member. Robert is also a published author, writing the book “A Reeves account of New Libson,” with his granddaughter Chelsea. Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Robert is predeceased by his beloved wife Nanci G. Reeves, his son Robert Reeves, and his sisters Doris Fiori and Margaret Goss. Robert is survived by his son Eric Karlberg (Natalie), his daughter Cynthia Sager (Phil), and his son Craig Karlberg, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Robert will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11am at Grace Episcopal Church, 43 Elizabeth Street, Pemberton NJ 08068. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family from 10:30am to 11am at the church prior to the start of the services.
