Rosamond M. Pettorini

Rosamond Mary Pettorini, age 74, of Centerburg, Ohio died February 19, 2023 at St. Ann’s Hospital in Westerville, OH following complications of heart surgery. On October 17, 1948 she was born in Oswego, New York, the daughter of Marvin Gilbert Liller, Jr and Vivian Margaret Freeman. She was married previously to Paavo D. Leino and Robert E. Pettorini and shared the last 29 years with her loving partner Jon E. Brown, of Centerburg, Ohio. Survivors include her sons Mark D. Leino, Scott D. Leino, and Michael A. Pettorini; her grandchildren Anna S. Leino, William D. Leino, Halla M. Pettorini, Anthony M. Pettorini, Gabriella R. Pettorini, Giana L. Pettorini, and Kendylle C. Brown; her siblings William R. Liller, John N. Liller, Rebecca E. Liller-Sheridan, Earl E. Liller, and Elizabeth A. Liller, her nieces and nephews, extended family, and Jon E. Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved brothers James G. Liller, Bruce B. Liller, and Norman V. Liller. Rose worked for, and retired from, “the phone company”, first with NJ BELL and later, AT&T. She was a hard working single mother and a proud union member. As a child of the U.S. Army, Rose and her siblings lived at Ft. Campbell, KY; Ft. Bragg, NC; in Japan; Ft. Richardson, Anchorage, AK; and Ft. Dix,NJ in defense of their country. She settled in New Albany and Centerburg, OH in her final 29 years. Her greatest loves were her family and children. She was happiest and most at ease giving her time to those things. Like all mothers, she was extremely proud of her sons and grandchildren. And she was very grateful to have found contentment and, most importantly love, for many years with Jon Brown. Rose knew the secret ingredient to any well-lived life, which is to put others first, when possible. On behalf of her family, a heartfelt thank you to any and all who shared some part of their lives with her. Friends may gather on Saturday, March 11 beginning at 11:00 AM, there will be a memorial service at 12 Noon at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly, NJ 08060 and on March 18, 2023, 5 PM at Snyder Funeral Homes, Devore Chapel, 637 OH-61, Sunbury, OH 43074. In lieu of flowers, PLEASE make a donation in Rose’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society.
