Rosemary Anne Bushnell

Rosemary Devlin Donahue Bushnell, 70, of Medford, NJ passed away in her daughter’s home in Ocean City, NJ surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 20. She was raised in Philadelphia, PA as a member of Incarnation of Our Lord parish and was a 1964 graduate of Cardinal Dougherty HS. At the age of 35 and a determined single mother of 8 children she earned a degree from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science with honors in 1987. She instilled the importance of education in her children. She was a trusted neighborhood pharmacist in Medford for 25 years, retiring in 2011. Rosemary was highly regarded for her compassion, knowledge and professionalism. She served and counseled members of the community often during the most difficult times in their lives, always going above and beyond the call of duty. Rosemary found joy in helping others. Her passions included history, genealogy, and traveling. She had a unique ability to deeply connect with people from all walks of life. By far her greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched. She was married to the love of her life, the late William Bushnell. She was a devoted mother of 10; William II, Dave (Melissa), Donna Powell (Mark), Diane Philbin (Joe), Daniel Donahue (Tim Miller), Debbie Hayden (Tony), Denise Doyle (Darrin), Rosemary Millar (Michael), Regina Donahue (Jason D'Entremont), Amy Smith (Conor). She was an adoring MomMom to 32 grandchildren. Born on September 12, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (nee Divine) Devlin. Beloved sister to four siblings; Diane Merkle (Bill), Bill Nield (Barbara), Tom Nield (Susan,deceased), and Patty Reilly (Kevin) whom she connected with later in life. On Monday, July 24, there will be a viewing from 6-9 PM at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church, 40 Jackson Road, Medford NJ. Additional viewing 10:30-11:30 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA. If desired, charitable contributions in Rosemary's memory can be sent to the Sean F.
