Ruth A. Jardine

Obituary of Ruth A. Jardine 9/16/1933-5/9/2019 Ruth passed away peacefully with family at her side at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly. Ruth was born and raised in Camden NJ. Ruth was predeceased by her parents Calbjorne John and Beatrice Harback, and grandson Gregory Stypinski. Ruth is survived by her sister Marie Foley, her sons John (Elaine), Thomas (Mary) and daughter Karen Stypinski (Walter). Grandchildren Joshua (Melissa), Preston (Helena), Jennifer Stypinski, Christopher, and Katharine Stypinski. Great grandson Wyatt. Nephews Joseph, Mark and Stephen Foley, niece Linda Murphy and many cousins here and in Norway. Also her grand puppy Carley and Great grand puppies Roxy, Bentley and Bailey. Ruth loved all her puppies. Ruth resided at Lutheran Crossings at the time of her unexpected passing where she loved to participate in Bible Studies, Bingo and sitting on the porch watching the planes and birds go past. Before retirement Ruth worked at Lockheed Martin where she was a secretary for Naval Systems Department. This is where she worked for four different companies and didn’t leave her desk. She was also very active in the United Methodist Women’s Society as a treasurer. She also loved to host dinner parties in the 70’s to family parties in her later years. She was well known for her potato salad and cole slaw. Her chocolate cakes were the best. Cookies and Yulekake were baked every Christmas. She was always in the kitchen cooking or baking. And if there was a stain on anything you knew Ruth could get it out. In her later years she discovered her love for painting and ceramics. Ruth always loved a bowl of ice cream or a double dark chocolate Zitner coconut candy, but Ruth’s true love was her family and Norway. Services will be held on Wednesday May 15, 2019 at Lutheran Crossing Chapel 255 E.
