Alice Marie Deacon

January 5, 1935 - February 14, 2022

Alice Marie Deacon, of Chesterfield, VA, formerly of Burlington Twp., passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was 87. Born in Long Island, NY; the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Rossi. She was the loving wife of the late Robert. Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed baking her famous Christmas cookies for family and friends. She was an avid Eagles fan and enjoyed watching figure skating. She worked many jobs over her lifetime. She worked at the New York Stock Exchange, Bob White Florist, Pomeroys, and Sunset Florist. She was also an administrative assistant at Superior Tea and Coffee and Safety Clean. She was a member and past president of the Women’s Club of Burlington, vice president of the Burlington Twp. Senior Club, and a member of the Ladle of Love Soup Kitchen. She is survived by her children, Richard (Judith) Deacon, Karen (Robert) Knight, and Donna (Richard) Abrams; grandchildren, Dr. Melissa (James) Bennett, Bryan Knight, and Elizabeth Knight; great-grandchildren, Alexandra Bennett and Robert Bennett. Relatives and friends may attend her viewing on Monday, February 21 from 10:30-11:30 AM at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Mt. Holly Cemetery, Mt. Holly. Memorial contributions can be made in Alice’s memory to the American Liver Foundation (www.liverfoundation.org).
