Clarence J Gable Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Clarence “Chuck” Gable, Vietnam Veteran, originally from upper State New York, and a Southampton, NJ resident. The angels came to take him home on June 29, 2022 after a lengthy illness due to many complications after surgery in February. He was 75. The beloved husband to Frances L. Gable (Gibbs), father to Dora Meyers (Don) and Stephanie Garbowitz (Grant), Poppy to Penelope Laine and Zoey Lauren Garbowitz. He is also survived by 2 sisters Rebecca Danser and Victoria Vancise of NY, one brother Steven Hoffman of Massachusetts. He was predeceased by 2 brothers Leo Hoffman (Linda) and Bill Hoffman (Barbara) and was the son of the late Poenie Lamont and step-father Walter Lamont of Duncannon, PA. Chuck retired from the Cherry Hill School District in Maintenance where he was loved by many teachers as well as the students that he watched grow up. In his community he was loved by many friends and the many fur babies that lined up at the front door for their morning treat and petting. Chuck was most known for the love of his country, a Vietnam Veteran where he served during the “The Big Red One.” We salute you, Chuck. You will be remembered fondly by many. A Memorial will be held later in the fall with military honors at the BGWCD Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite animal rescue.
