Dolores M. Chepega

Dolores M. Chepega of Eastampton, passed away on Wednesday, April 20 at the Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mount Holly surrounded by her family. She was 86. Born in Trenton, Mrs. Chepega was a longtime Ewing resident before moving to Eastampton in 2006. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School and St. Francis School of Nursing. After graduating from Nursing School, Dolores worked as a registered nurse in the newborn nursery at St. Francis Hospital in Trenton for over 40 years. Dolores enjoyed many trips to Walt Disney World with her family and later with “the girls”. She was a member of the Happy Louie Polka Fan Club, an avid reader/library member, a Jeopardy superfan, a crossword puzzle enthusiast and a diehard Steelers fan. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Joseph R. Chepega Sr. and their 6 children: Joseph R. Jr (Kathleen) of Brambleton, VA, Teresa (James Stiteler) of Quakertown, PA, Diane (Clark Bish) of Eastampton, John (Lisa) of Ewing, Beth (Rob Sottung) of Eastampton, Linda (Scott Gater) of Yardville, NJ. Dolores and her husband were blessed with 12 grandchildren; Rosemary (Ken), James (Alyssa), Bernadette (David) Christopher (Monica), Stephanie (Eric), Andrew, Maddy, Morgan, Noah, Thomas, Brian, & Gregory; 7 great-grandchildren: Savannah, Lorelai, Spencer, Joshua, Jamie, Felix, & Abel. She was the mother of the late Francis. Dolores is also survived by nieces and nephews, Lorraine, Marty, Tommy (Godson), Danny, Cindy, cousins Dolores and Bobby and longtime good friend Winnie K. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday, April 26 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 260 High St., Mount Holly. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family from 10-11am on Tuesday at the Church. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA.
