Dorothy Stevenson, age 73, of Mount Holly, NJ passed away in her home on September 1, 2020. Daughter of the late Walter and Elsie Stackhouse, Dorothy was born on May 3, 1947 in Mount Holly, NJ and raised in Hainesport. She worked as a secretary for the Burlington County Highway Department. Dorothy was a Girl Scouts leader in the 1970’s, a past officer of the Mount Holly VFW ladies auxiliary in the 1980’s, as well as a past Green Cap in the Mount Holly Moose in the 1990’s. Dorothy was a member of the Country Dance Club and gave country dance lessons at the Mount Holly VFW. She enjoyed reading books, doing crafts, playing games on the internet, and spending time with her family. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Reginald Stevenson, her children Daniel Stevenson, Christine Suarez and her husband Napoleon, Marianne Pallante and her husband Brian, her grandchildren Daniel Stevenson and his wife Jamie, David Stevenson and his wife Filomena, Tyler Stevenson-DeLoach, Jasmine Stevenson-DeLoach, Kara Pallante, and Thomas Pallante, her great grandchildren Danger Stevenson, Rosalie Stevenson, Roman Stevenson, and Nalah Jones, her siblings Sandra Conover, Jeff Stackouse, Mark Stackhouse, and sister-n-law Debra Stackhouse wife of the late Walter (Butch) Stackhouse, and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 9 at 11:00am at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. A walk-through visitation will be held from 10:00am until the time of the service. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Lumberton.
