George C. Monaghan

George C. Monaghan, of Mt. Holly, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mt. Holly. He was 54. George was a 1984 graduate of Rancocas Valley Regional High School. After graduation, he served in the US Navy on the USS Spiegel Grove LSD-32. He received the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Letter of Appreciation, and Letter of Commendation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on his 1957 Chevy. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his soulmate of 20 years, Tina Cliver; children, Ryan (Nicole) Monaghan, Sean (Brittany) Monaghan, Kyle Monaghan, Gina Watts, and Brianna Speeney; grandchildren, Travis, Jillian, Maeve, Seren, Kieran, Alessio, and Wyatt; his parents, George and Louise (nee Chicchetti) Monaghan; sisters, Tina and Diane; five nephews and many cousins. Relatives and friends may attend his viewing on Sunday, August 2nd from 6-8 PM at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly. Funeral services will be held at 8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown.
