Glenn W. Smith Sr.

April 2, 1953 - January 30, 2022

Glenn W. Smith Sr., of Hainesport, passed away on January 30, 2022 at home. He was 68 years old. Son of the late Walter and Ruth Smith, Glenn was born April 2, 1953 in Cinnaminson, NJ where he grew up graduated from Cinnaminson High School. In 1973 Glenn met the love of his life Sharon Greenwood. The two married soon after and in 1976 moved to Hainesport, NJ where he has lived ever since. Glenn owned his own car dealership, W.E. Smith, Incorporated, which he started with the help of his father and was a very successful business for over 40 years. He enjoyed weekend trips with his family to his vacation home in the Poconos, as well as his annual guy getaways. Glenn loved cars, especially his 1968 Corvette. In his youth Glenn used to enjoy racing cars. Glenn also loved having family BBq’s and watching his grandkids play and swim, as well as holidays with all his kids and grandkids. Glenn was an extremely funny man with an amazing sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Glenn is predeceased by his beloved wife Sharon, who passed in November 1999 as well as both of his parents. Glenn is survived by his son Glenn W. Smith Jr, and daughter-in-law Kari Good, his daughter Carrie V. Pace (Smith) and her husband Timothy Pace, as well as his two step sons that Glenn stepped up and raised as his own Scott J. Steely and his fiancée Karen Iaccarino, and Glenn Steely and his wife Robin Steely. Glenn is also survived by his grandchildren Khristian, Hayden, Wyatt, Blake, Lyla, Delycia, Abigail, Julianna, Julianna, Gemma, Zach, Darby, Isabell, Marissa, Jordyn, and Laiana, as well as many other family and friends. A Memorial service for Glenn will be held on Saturday February 12, at 1pm at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High Street Mount Holly, NJ 08060. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family from 11am-1pm prior to the start of the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Glenn’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org
