Helen E. Cimino
August 22, 1934 - April 19, 2022
Helen Cimino, beloved wife and mother, died on April 19, peacefully at her home in Columbus, New Jersey. She was 87 years old. She is survived by her husband Sal, her children Sally Cimino, Nancy Clark, Helene Cimino, Lisa Cimino, Melissa Tettemer, son-in-law Brian Tettemer, and her grandchildren Casandra, Robert and his wife, Sonya, and Kevin Clark. Helen was born to Mildred and Melvin Metzler on August 22, 1934. While working at her first job at Pleasantville Instrument Corporation in 1953, she met her future husband Sal. He was drafted into the Army in 1955 and Helen patiently waited for his return in 1957. They married on April 4, 1959 and shared a beautiful life together for 63 years. Helen’s most proud accomplishments were her daughters and grandchildren, whom she adored, and nothing delighted her more than spending time with them. She loved camping with Sal and her 5 girls up and down the East Coast, with family and friends at their campsite in the Poconos, traveling and cruising. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, countless needlepoint projects, and scrapbooking. She loved taking pictures and keeping them as mementos. Friends and family will always remember her quick wit and sense of humor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 28 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 260 High Street, Mount Holly, New Jersey. Friends and family are invited and will be able to pay respects before the Mass at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In place of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Helen’s honor to Samaritan Life-Enhancing Care at 3906 Church Road, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054, or the Alzheimer’s Association at https://act.alz.org/donate
