Jacqueline H Szalma

Jacqueline H. Szalma (nee Branin) of Eastampton passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at her home. She was 60. Jackie was a longtime resident of Eastampton, NJ. She was the beloved wife of 39 years of the late James A. Szalma and the loving mother of Christopher and his wife, Jessica; Beth and her husband, Griffin Barbra; Ben and his significant other Megan; Melissa and her husband Eugene Smith, and Dani. Seven grandchildren Kali, Kyle, Carlie, Gavin, Dakota, Charlotte and Chloe adored their Grammy; 2 brothers David and Dean and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John H. Branin and Roma L. Branin-Debord and her brother, Kenneth. Born in Mount Holly, she was a graduate of Rancocas Valley Regional High School and was an assistant at the Cobbler Shop in Mount Holly for 16 years. She was a military spouse for over 20 years a job she embraced and loved. She loved the beach, body surfing the waves, teaching her kids how to boogie board and digging for sand crabs. She enjoyed a good cup of coffee and watching wildlife on the computer. She was an avid reader of romance novels and could strike up a conversation with anyone. She loved snowed covered trees. She was truly the greatest; she was brave, strong, loving and the glue to her family and now she is at peace. She will forever be missed but always in our hearts and memories. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 9:30-11:00am at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. A brief service will follow at 11:00. Inurnment in BGWCD Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery will be private. Contributions in her memory may be made to Perinchief Chapels to help with funeral costs. www.perinchief.com.
