December 31, 1940 - June 12, 2022
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary trouble are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Lawrence Lewis Morse, also known as Larry, Larru, Grampie, Grumpa, Dad, brother, son, and friend, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 12, 2022, surrounded by those who love him. Born as a New Year's Eve baby on December 31, 1940 in The Bronx, NY. Larry was the first of six children born to Lewis and Doris Morse. He is survived by his siblings Daniel, Thomas, and Ann Morse, and is reunited with his parents and siblings Mary Linda Giberson, Michael Morse and sister-in-law, Ruth Morse. He lives on in the hearts of his children Kellie, Karen, and Christopher; sons-in law Patrick Marone and Joseph Mason; his grandsons Jesse, Theodore, and Harrison; his companion Patricia Garrard; and endless family and friends around the world. Larry could not enter a room without genuinely greeting everyone! Even his clients were friends, for whom he always held their best interests. Though nothing was more rewarding for Larry than saving a dollar, he always put people first. Larry loved to travel and relished in a fine beverage during an oceanside sunset. Any freezer in his world was sure to hold gourmet ice cream and cherry pie. If music and a wood floor were present, he was first to start the dance party. And while he denied the term "grandfather," his grandsons were the laughter and pure joy in his heart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 1603 Marne Hwy, Hainesport, NJ 08036 on July 9, 2022, at 11am. There will also be a Celebration of Life at the Meadows Village Pub in Sarasota, FL on a later date to be shared. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to "Oceana" to save our oceans, or to the "ALS Foundation" to discover a cure, in memory of Lawrence Lewis Morse.
