Lorraine M Miller

September 1, 1925 - May 5, 2022

Lorraine M. Miller of Mount Holly, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Jefferson Hospital in Cherry Hill. She was 96. She was born on September 1, 1925 to Harry P. Villemur and Matilda (Pfeuffer) Villemur in Jersey City, NJ. She attended Jersey City Public Schools and graduated Lincoln High School in 1944. She immediately began working for the Western Electric Co. in Kearny, NJ in blueprint duplication. Lorraine prided herself on her work for the war effort and was proud to be known as a “Rosie the Riveter.” In 1956, Lorraine and her husband moved to Mount Holly and began raising their family shortly thereafter. She was long time member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and was active in the ECW. The wife of the late Charles John Miller, she is survived by two sons; John (Barbara), Christopher (Caryn), a granddaughter Laurie Green (Dennis) and four great-grandchildren; Joshua, Colin, Christian, and Alyssa Green. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 10-11am at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. Funeral Services will follow at 11am. Burial will be in St. Andrew’s Graveyard. Contributions in her memory may be made to: Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter, www.friendsofbcas.org
