Maria Margarita Leach, of Eastampton, passed away on February 7, 2022. She was 75 years old. Daughter of the late Santos F. Reyes and Margarita Felix-Cruz, Maria was born on May 27, 1946 in Camuy, Puerto Rico. Maria served in the U.S. Army in the Women’s Army Corps as a Medic. Maria was stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas, and while stationed there she met the love of her life Albert Leach. Maria also worked as an ambulance driver on Fort Dix, and also worked as a Registered Nurse for the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia which is where she retired from. Maria was a kind and loving woman, who loved her family. She was the light in any room, her charm and personality put a smile on everyone’s face. Maria was full of life and loved to travel, she loved the mountains of Colorado. Maria also enjoyed collecting Angel figures and collecting coins, a hobby she picked up while working at the U.S. Mint. Maria will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Maria is predeceased by her beloved husband Albert Leach, Sr., her parents and her sister Norma Reyes. Maria is survived by her children Teri Williams, Debbie Snapp, Celeste Carver, Albert Leach, and Erik Leach, her grandchildren Nick, Bryan, Michael, Melissa, Thomas, Maria, James, Morey, Alex, Marina, Gabriel, Denise and Coop, her siblings Aida Reyes, Damaris Kostyniak, Edna Reyes, Sylvia Cruz, and Melvin Reyes, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services for Maria will be held on Thursday February 17, at 2pm at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High Street Mount Holly, NJ 08060. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family from 1pm-2pm prior to her funeral service. Interment and military honors will be held the following day Friday February 18, at 10am at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
