Matthew K. Doyle Sr.

June 18, 1958 - May 2, 2022

Matthew K. Doyle Sr. of Westampton, passed away after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer on May 2, 2022 at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly, NJ. He was 63 years old. Son of the late Joan C. (Crawford) and James B. Doyle, Matt was born June 18, 1958 in Trenton, NJ. He was raised in Levittown, PA, graduating from the former Woodrow Wilson High School in 1976 and eventually settling in Westampton, NJ with his wife and children. He worked at Emerson Process Management (formerly Fisher Controls) for over 30 years before retiring in January 2022. Matt was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and will be forever remembered for his witty sarcasm (“C’mon Shelly!”) and as a fine purveyor of funny nicknames for all those he loved. Matt was most proud of his long, loving marriage and how he raised his three children now flourishing with families of their own. He also adored spending time with his entire extended family both near and far. He will be deeply missed. Matt is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 43 years Maureen A. (nee Kearney), his children Caitlin B. (Jeffrey) Skolny of Reading, PA, Matthew K. (Laura) Doyle Jr. of Middletown, DE, and Patrick J. (Nicole) Doyle of Lumberton, NJ, his grandchildren Dylan, Garrett, Clara, Declan, Aidan, Brennan, and Emilia, his siblings James B. (Carrie) Doyle Jr., and Stephen R. (Colleen) Doyle, as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews. Matthew is predeceased by his siblings and their spouses Michael F. Doyle Sr. (Lynn), Donald P. Doyle (Cathy), and Mary Alice Heumann. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday May 7, 2022 at 11am at Sacred Heart Church, 260 High Street, Mount Holly, NJ 08060. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with Matthew’s family from 10am-11am at Sacred Heart Church prior to the Mass. Burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
