Russell L. Gray, of Pemberton, passed away at his home on May 5th. He was 88 years old. Son of the late Caleb and Blanche Gray, Russell was born on June 21, 1933 in Wrightstown, NJ, and lived in Columbus as a young child. The family eventually moved to a farm on Jacksonville Road, in Mount Holly. Russell attended Rancocas Valley high school where he graduated in 1951. After high school Russell enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served his country during the Korean War. Russell was a hardworking man and once he was discharged from the Navy he worked as a civil engineer for McGuire Airforce Base and on his family farm where he grew blueberries and greenhouse tomatoes. Russell was a past Master of the Pemberton Masonic Lodge, and he also collected vintage John Deere tractors with his wife. Russell will be remembered as a great husband, awesome father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed. Russell is survived by his beloved wife Martha Gray, his children, Deborah Pyett (Harold), Mark Gray, Cynthia Gray and Laurie Gray. Grandchildren, April Cottrell, Jeffrey Pyett, Russell Gray, Colin Gray, Kerry Banff, Kyle Banff, Kelley Banff, Stephanie Bush and Katie Bush. Great grandchildren, Abigail, Andrew, Russell, Juliana, Briella, Emma, Cole, Emmalee, and Egon. Russell is also survived by his brothers Jack Gray and Gary Gray. He was predeceased by his brother Bill. A Memorial service for Russell will be held on Wednesday May 11th, 2022 at 7pm at Perinchief Chapels 438 High Street Mount Holly NJ 08060. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with his family from 6pm-7pm prior to the memorial service.
