Sean M. Felkins

October 10, 1964 - April 22, 2022

Sean M. Felkins – 57, of Burlington Township, NJ ended his courageous 5-year battle with kidney cancer and passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Friday, April 22, 2022. Sean was born October 10, 1964 in Northridge, California. He grew up in Browns Mills, NJ and was a 1982 graduate of Pemberton Township High School. Sean was fortunate to spend the last 30+ years doing what he truly loved – all things wrestling. A highly respected referee, he officiated at every level of competition. He was especially proud of being a 5-time State Finals Official. Sean also served as president, secretary and most recently cadet supervisor for the NJWOA – Southern Chapter. He spent countless hours in support of the Grapevine League and its annual tournament. His dedication and passion for the sport is unsurpassed. He is a legend in the wrestling community and will be remembered and missed by so many. He loved being on the mat with Brandon this past season and teaching him to carry on #523. He also coached Burlington Township youth football for several years and followed those players through their high school careers. He rarely missed a BTHS football game and enjoyed spending time with his friends at the games. Sean will be remembered by those who knew him for his generosity and sense of humor. He was always willing to help his friends and never hesitated to stop and help a stranger too. Sean was a die-hard Raiders fan and also rooted for the Cincinnati Reds. He enjoyed fishing and boating. He had a talent for landscaping and helped maintain many yards in the neighborhood. Sean loved Christmas. He was well known for his light display and was all too happy to hang the lights for many of his neighbors. Sean had treats for all his favorite dogs in the neighborhood and accidently trained them to stop at the house even if he was not home. To those who knew and loved Sean - “All Good”. Sean will be forever loved and missed by his adoring family which includes his wife of 26 years, Deborah (nee Smith) and two children, Brandon and Danielle; Dad Tom Shinn; sisters Wendy Blakeslee (Bruce) and Amy Merrill (Dean); mother-in-law Evelyn Smith, sister-in-law Michelle Smith (Anthony Semonella), brother-in-law Martin Smith (Karen), several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. He was predeceased by his mother Marsha Shinn, father-in-law Bud Smith and beloved dog Chase. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with Sean’s family on Tuesday, April 26 from 4-8pm at Perinchief Chapels 438 High Street Mount Holly NJ, 08060. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 27 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church 223 E. Union Street Burlington, NJ 08016.
