Steven M. Ryan Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Steven Michael Ryan, of Lumberton, passed away on July 22, at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly. He was 72 years old. Son of the late Francis and Betty Ryan, Steven was born and raised in Brockton, Massachusetts. After graduating from high school in 1968, Steven enlisted in the US Air Force and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. On July 2, 1973 Steven married the love of his life Jeanette, and the two were married for 49 wonderful years. Steven was a diehard Boston Red Sox fan and was an avid flea marketer. He loved being with his family and enjoyed taking trips to visit his relatives as well as vacationing in South Carolina. Steven also enjoyed reading books that contained facts such as the Guinness Book of World records, as well as historical books. Steven will be remembered as an all-around good person, who if you met, you’d instantly like him. Steven is survived by his beloved wife Jeanette Ryan, his son Kenneth and his wife Rue Ryan, his grandchildren Everett, Savannah, and Maci Ryan, his brothers David and Francis Ryan, and Mark (Linda) Ryan, as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends. Services along with a celebration of life for Steven Ryan will be held in the fall. Please check back at a later date for updated information.
