Brenda Y Zeffiro

Brenda Yolande Zeffiro of Mount Laurel, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025, at Samaritan Compassionate Hospice in Voorhees, at the age of 104. She was born in the town of Balham in the city of London, England, and had been a resident of Mt. Laurel since 2000. Brenda grew up in Battersea, London, near the River Thames. She served in the Home Guard in London during World War II, and worked for the War Ministry prior to meeting Joseph, a handsome US soldier, at a USO dance, and their marriage was celebrated on July 29, 1950. The family lived in England and Germany briefly, and then moved to the United States in 1951, later settling in New Jersey, where she raised her family and lived most of her life. An avid traveler, she visited many countries throughout Europe and traveled across the continental US with her husband. Brenda made friends everywhere she went, with her kind friendly demeanor. She enjoyed crafting, family road trips and Sunday dinners, and annual vacations to Las Vegas with her extended family and friends. Her resilient spirit of faith, friendship and hospitality invites us all to do the same. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ethel Dimmock, her brother Alan Dimmock, her beloved husband of 48 years, Joseph Zeffiro, and her daughter-in-law Olga Zeffiro. She is survived by her 4 children Yvonne Rovasio, James Zeffiro, Anthony Zeffiro (her caregiver) and Thomas Zeffiro; her 5 grandchildren, Dominick Rovasio (Michele), Sharon Taskin, Ryan Rovasio, Lisa Fickenscher (Jeff) and Jennifer Cunningham (David); and her 9 great-grandchildren Jennifer Taskin, Vanessa Taskin, Stephanie Carmody (Casey), Anthony Rovasio (Abby), Ryan Rovasio, Jr., Kaitlyn Fickenscher, Gabriel Cunningham, Michael Cunningham and Angelina Cunningham. Relatives and friends may attend her viewing on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 5:00-7:00pm, at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High Street, Mount Holly, NJ. A prayer service will follow at 7:00pm. Private family interment will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover, NJ.
