Colin James MacFarland

Colin James MacFarland passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, November 5, 2022. He was 40 years old. Colin was predeceased by his father, Kenneth James MacFarland and his grandparents, William F. Gardner and Joseph Logan and Jean D. MacFarland. Colin is survived by his adoring wife, Lisa (nee Stintsman). They became sweethearts in high school. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two amazing sons, Colin James II and Brody James. Colin is also survived by his beloved mother, Donna M. Gardner (Kevin May); his maternal grandmother, Margaret M. Gardner; his sister Jamie MacFarland; his brother Ryan MacFarland (Jessica) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews. cousins and dear friends. Born in Mt. Holly, NJ, Colin was a resident of Lumberton, NJ. He graduated from Rancocas Valley Regional High School, Mt. Holly, NJ, and upon graduation started his career in the field of landscaping. He loved the outdoors and was happiest working with his hands. He owned his own landscaping company for a short time but was later employed by several large landscape companies. He rose to the position of sales and project management. What Colin loved most was spending time with his family. He also loved vacations to the Outer Banks, NC, fishing, travel and beautifying his own home. A die-hard Philadelphia Sports fan, he rooted for them all although he always had a soft spot for the Braves. His laidback personality, his dimpled smile, and his sense of humor put friends and family at ease whenever they were invited to enjoy the many get-togethers at his and Lisa’s home Throughout his courageous battle with cancer, Colin never stopped being a super dad and husband. He faced cancer with a positive attitude, a fighter’s spirit and he never gave up hope. His phenomenal strength will be carried on by those who knew him and loved him. A celebration of life will be held Monday, November 14, 2022 at Marlton Assembly of God, 785 East Main Street, Marlton, NJ (Marlton Field House due to construction at the sanctuary) Visitation for family and friends is 10:00 am until Noon; service is Noon to 1:00 pm.
