Delroy Anthony Malcolm Sr.

Delroy A. Malcolm, Sr., of Mt Holly formerly of Philadelphia PA, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at his home. He was 56. Born on January 21, 1970 Delroy Anthony Malcolm Sr. was raised in Seaford, Westmoreland, Jamaica, surrounded by the love of his parents, Francis Malcolm and Vivia (Walker) Malcolm his grandmother, and his siblings; his sisters Lorna, Camille and Collin Malcolm . Growing up in a skilled and nurturing family, he learned farming from his parents and grandmother, developing a deep connection to the land that would shape his life. After attending primary and high school in Westmoreland, Delroy moved to the United States as a teenager with his father to expand in his craft. In Florida, he and his siblings built a new life with their talents, and Delroy discovered his passion for the golf course. His natural understanding of agriculture and landscapes made him exceptional in his craft. Every course he touched felt his presence—marked by precision, strength, structure, patience, and quiet brilliance. Delroy married in 2005 in Philadelphia and welcomed his son, Delroy Jr., in 2008. He was a devoted father, known for carrying his young son on his shoulders down Olney Avenue as if helping him reach the sky. His trust in God shaped his joyful, calm, and grounded way of living. A gifted chef and a talented carpenter, Delroy created meals and craftsmanship that were built to last. He never sought praise, giving all credit to God for the abilities he used so generously. Delroy brought peace, joy, and loyalty into every relationship. He remained close to childhood friends, cherished his family deeply, and was always ready to help anyone—family, friend, colleague, or stranger. Standing 6’2” and 270 pounds, he was a gentle giant with a heart of gold. On the golf course and in life, Delroy created, taught, supported, and led with humility. He understood excellence as a quiet form of intelligence, and he lived it every day. Delroy Sr. will be remembered as a strong, kind, and genuine man whose presence made the world better for everyone who knew him. He is survived by his son, Delroy Jr.; former spouse, Isabella Yaa Fordjour; names of siblings Lorna Malcolm, Camile Malcolm, Sherella Malcolm, oldest brother and Rishado Malcolm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday, April 13th from 10:00am to 12:00pmat the Chapel at Ivy Hill Cemetery, 1201 Easton Rd., Philadelphia. Funeral services will be held at the Ivy Hill Cemetery at 12 PM in the Chapel. Burial to follow in Ivy Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Delroy’s name to Delroy Malcolm Jr.
