Faustiniano Sanchez-Rivera

Faustiniano Sanchez-Rivera, passed away on January 30, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 80 years old. Son of the late Carlos and Ramona Sanchez, Faustiniano was born February 25, 1942 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Faustiniano served in the United States Army, being drafted in 1965 and served in the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Gallantry Cross, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and well as many others. After his honorable discharge from the US Army, Faustiniano still served his country in the Army National Guard from 1983 to 1986 as well as serving in the New Jersey Air National Guard from 1987-2001. From 1968 to 1998 Faustiniano also worked for the Deluxe Corporation as a quality control technician. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree assembly #648 Burlington County Council #7814, the American Legion Post 28, Oak Orchard Delaware, as well as a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW Post 15031. Faustiniano’s passions were fishing as well as spending time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. Faustiniano is survived by his loving wife Dolores Sanchez, his son Christopher Sanchez (Meghan Reilly), his daughter Amanda Reyes (Demetrius Reyes), his granddaughter Cataleya Reyes, his grandson Adonis Reyes, his daughter in law Christina Sanchez, his brother Miguel Angel Sanchez, and his sister Margarita Hilda Sanchez. He is predeceased by his son Michael Sanchez, his siblings Carlos L. Sanchez, Jr., Nestor L. Sanchez, Albea Sanchez, Louis A. Sanchez, Luis E. Sanchez, and Jose A. Sanchez. Funerals services for Faustiniano will be held on Monday February 6, at 12:30pm at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High Street Mount Holly, NJ 08060. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his viewing from 11:30am to 12:30pm prior to the start of the Funeral services at Perinchief Chapels. Interment and Military honors will follow the service at Alpine Cemetery, 703 Amboy Ave, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.
