Frances A. Filipowski

Frances A. Filipowski (nee Colonello) of Westampton, formerly of Cinnaminson, passed away on September 22, 2022. She was 79. She is preceded in death by her husband, John, her parents Francis P. and Gloria Colonello and her brother-in-law Stephen Filipowski. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Fran was married to John, her high school sweetheart, for 53 years. Fran and John moved to Cinnaminson in the 1970’s when (where) Fran began her 27-year career as a Basic Skills Teacher’s Aide for the Cinnaminson School District. Through her employment, she formed life-long friendships with her co-workers: Fran C., Dottie G., Marilyn Mc., and Nancy O. Fran was welcomed into a book club that continued with holiday baked goods sessions and shared family recipes. In retirement, this ‘Circle of Friends’ remained close and Fran never failed to acknowledge milestone events with her beautifully hand-crafted greeting cards. She always looked forward to attending her weekly Tuesday “Game Night” with Marge, Roseanne and Pat where Fran’s card shark abilities were on full display. Fran was loving, thoughtful and supportive and she will be profoundly missed. Fran is survived by her three children and their spouses: Lynn (Gregg) McNally of Ship Bottom, Paul (Melissa) Filipowski of Marlton, & Joan (Glenn) Brusca of Cinnaminson; her grandchildren: Patrick, Ella, & Jack and her step-grandchildren Michael and Matthew. She is also survived by her brother Les (Cynthia) Colonello, her sister Gloria (Jim) Kelly and her sister-in-law Margie Filipowski; nephews Marty & Nicholas and nieces Diane, Sharon, & Meghan. Fran’s grandchildren always amazed her and they were one of her greatest sources of joy and happiness. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday September 27 at 10:30am at Sacred Heart RC Church, 260 High St., Mount Holly. Friends may attend her viewing from 9:30am to 10:30am prior to the start of Mass at the Church.
