Kevin J Daviau

Kevin John Daviau passed away peacefully in Moorestown, NJ on November 6th, 2025 at the age of 71 from Alzheimer’s disease. Kevin was survived by his wife Judy, daughter Jennifer, son Cory, son-in-law Joe, daughter-in-law Lucero, grandchildren Claire, Lukas, Ben, and Lily, siblings Cheryl, Jack, and Mark. He was predeceased by his mother Jean, father Jack, and brother Rob Daviau. Kevin was born in Utica, NY in 1954. The Daviaus were a rebellious and fun loving family of seven known for always finding ways to get in a little trouble. Kevin stood apart from the pack with his love of music. Through his involvement in band playing the French horn and plays throughout school, Kevin met Judy. After high school, the couple married and moved to California to begin a new adventure together. Kevin was a lifelong collector constantly finding new hobbies and passions. Kevin’s hobbies spanned being a pilot, avid gym goer, bicyclist, World War II reenactor, GI Joe collector, artist, photographer, band member, drum corps fanatic, Mini Cooper enthusiast and chef. He enjoyed being a member of the Golden Eagle Band for many years. He also checked off an item on his bucket list by participating in the Bridgemen Alumni Corp. Thanks to Judy, he became a world traveler with experiences spanning four continents. Although traveling came later in life, Kevin loved sharing stories about safaris and history tours he had taken. When Kevin wasn’t on an adventure he was working as an Insurance Adjuster. After retirement, he volunteered with the Red Cross. Colleagues knew him to be happy to take up a professional fight, never to shy away from a court room, and most of all to have fun while at work. At home, Kevin was a devoted husband that was notorious for buying multiples of everything and fixing things around the house in interesting ways. As a father, he was known for short conversations and strong opinions, but his kids knew he was always doing what he could for them. From making a doll house last minute to taking photos of triathlons and band competitions, he was always there when you needed him. Kevin loved being a grandparent. He had weekly calls with the grandkids and visited them at least once a year with Judy to share his love of Minions and laughter. Although Kevin is no longer with us, he will live on through the sense of humor and tenacity he passed on to all those that had a chance to share a grilled potato burger with him.
