Laura Tatninov

Laura Tatninov (nee Goetke), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and retired librarian assistant, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023, at the age of 63. She was a resident of Mount Holly, NJ, where she established a home base with her growing family. She was the loving daughter of Helen Goetke (nee Stobitzer) and Peter Goetke and was one of six children, including Susan, Peter, Jack, Paul, and Tommy. Born in Queens, NY, Laura was raised in Freehold, NJ, and eventually found her way to Mount Holly in the early 90s. Laura married the love of her life, David Tatninov, and together they shared 43 beautiful years of marriage. She was the devoted mother of Dayna Wargo (Mark), Denise Tatninov, David Tatninov (Sharon), and Bryan Tatninov (Vanessa). Laura’s love and guidance extended to her grandchildren Shane, Alyssa, Justin, and David. As a proud librarian assistant for John Brainerd School, Mrs. T found great joy in mending book binds and reading countless stories to the children. Her passion for literature and nurturing young minds brought smiles to many faces. Laura’s warm and humorous nature made her a cherished figure in the lives of those who knew her. If you were fortunate enough to share a moment with her, you held an inside secret close to your heart. Laura’s role as a mother and wife was the centerpiece of her life. She was the glue that bound her family together, and her love and traditions will continue to flourish through her cherished family. As a grandmother, Laura had a special knack for healing boo boos, giving the best hugs, and always having the right snacks. Her love and care knew no bounds. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Laura’s life on Friday, July 21st, at PERINCHIEF CHAPELS, located at 438 High St., Mount Holly, NJ 08060. A viewing will take place from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by services from 11:30 am to 1 pm. The memorial will be followed by a catered luncheon and open house at her daughter Dayna’s home. Laura Tatninov will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her love, sincerity, and humor. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
