Linda L Bauma

Linda L. Bauma, of Jacksonville, age 67, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Born and raised in Mount Holly, Linda was a graduate of Rancocas Valley Regional High School in 1976. She worked many jobs over the years, but was most proud of her work at the Burlington County Board of Social Services office where she worked for over 27 years and later retired. In her free time, Linda enjoyed reading, watching Hallmark movies, and playing games. She was probably the luckiest player at Yahtzee and would always have something to say at cards if she wasn't winning. She collected statues of angels and little children, displaying them throughout her home and garden. Linda traveled over the years with her husband and children, going all over the country from Maine to Florida to Yellowstone National Park. She even traveled to England and France. But her favorite place to go was Baptist Pond in New Hampshire. It was her little piece of paradise. No matter what she was doing, as long as she was spending time with her family, she was happy. Linda bravely fought and survived cancer multiple times over her life. She was a fighter until the end. She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Rita Pallante, and in-laws, John and Julia Bauma. She is survived by her beloved husband of over 40 years, John Bauma, Jr.; two cherished children: John III of Jacksonville and Brigit Steinberg (Steven) of Voorhees; adored granddaughter Evelyn; and her siblings: Ruth Pallante, Roberta Scott (Robert), Joseph Pallante II (the late Viktoria), Marie Paolini, and Gerald Pallante. She is also survived by her sister-in-laws Linda Tete, Jean Swiernik (Chester), JoAnn Banks (Ben), Bonnie Bauma; lifelong friend Karen Corkery; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends she loved dearly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 13th at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 260 High St., Mount Holly. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 10:15 – 11:30 a.m. at the Church. Following the Church service, the family is requesting friends and family to gather at the Jacksonville Community Center for a luncheon and fellowship. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Linda’s memory may be made to a children's or cancer charity of your choice.
