Neima S. Reyes

Neima S. Reyes, of Westampton, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was 89. Born in Salinas, Puerto Rico; the daughter of the late Felipe and Mercedes Serrano. Neima was raised in Salinas Puerto Rico where she married her husband Luis M. Reyes. After joining the military (U.S. Army), they moved to the United States where she dedicated her life supporting her husband and two children, Janice and Aileen. Periodically she worked odd jobs. At one time she pressed and starched military uniforms for our service members at her home. She loved reading and crocheting. Enjoying the outdoors while taking long walks with her husband was a common sight around the Mt. Holly area. Sports was never an interest to her until she became an avid Phillies fan. Always rooting for the team and rarely missing a game. Her military life allowed her to reside in Germany and Hawaii. This lifestyle gave her wonderful exposure to diverse people and experiences which she loved. In addition, she assisted her husband who later was a D.J. Part time solely as a hobby, because of his passion for music. Always accompanying him to bridal showers, parties and other events. Their 20 year service in the Army gave them a wonderful life. A life that she would not have traded, especially while sharing it with her dear husband, Luis M. Reyes. She is survived by her daughters, Janice Reyes-Diaz and her husband Hector and Aileen Rivera and her husband, Pedro Couvertier; grandchildren, Luana Stanley, Marisol Dias-Harris (Mike)and Alejandro Diaz (Corrine); great-grandchildren, Brianna Rivera, Drew Rivera, Natalia Rivera, Andres Rivea, Emmett Stanley IV, and Julius Stanley; great-great-granddaughter, Aliya Rivera. She is predeceased by her beloved grandson Andrew Michael Rivera. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday, December 12 from 10-11 AM at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Neima's memory to any veteran organizations.
