Patricia C. Thurman

Patricia A. Thurman (nee Clark), 85, of Lumberton, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, October 7th. She was a graduate of Rancocas Valley Regional High School in 1953. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Patricia was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Clark. Beloved sister of the late Margaret Clark, James Clark, Joan Ward, Thomas Clark (Carol), and is survived by her brother, Edward Clark, and sister-in-law, Katherine Clark. Patricia was the matriarch of a very large and close-knit family. She will be greatly missed by her six children, James Thurman (Donna), Richard Thurman, Thomas Thurman (Elizabeth), Kellie Trout (Ronald), Christina Brooks, and Aymie Weiss (James), her 15 grandchildren, and her 12 great-grandchildren. She touched the lives of many with her selfless, loving nature and witty personality. Her strength and hard work ethic were remarkable as she raised six children while being a dedicated worker at the Deborah Heart Foundation and Midstate Correctional Facility in the communications department for over 30 years. Not only was Patricia a committed employee, but a wonderful and caring mother and Nana to the lives of many. She was extremely intelligent, independent, and attentive to the needs of others. If anyone ever needed anything, she was always there with a big heart and open arms. Her many phone calls, delicious holiday desserts and dishes, warm hugs, witty jokes, and beautiful smiles will be dearly missed. She was a die-hard Phillies fan and never missed a game. Her other hobbies include painting, crossword puzzles, reading, coloring, bird watching and going to the beach. Being in the company of her family was very important, and her last days were full of love and support as she was surrounded by her many loved ones. We will cherish the fond memories we have with Patricia, as she lives on in the hearts of us all. Patricia was the best mother, grandmother, sister aunt, cousin, and friend anyone could ever have. Please join us in honoring the memory of Patricia. The viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 14th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Perinchief Chapels in Mount Holly, NJ. The mass will be held on Thursday, October 15th at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church in Mount Holly, NJ.
