Richard Philip Frake, beloved father, Pop-Pop, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Browns Mills, New Jersey, on August 4, 2026, at the age of 63. He was born on July 9, 1963, in Mount Holly, New Jersey. Richard found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Whether he was casting a fishing line, searching for treasures at the junkyard, restoring vehicles with his son Kenny, enjoying a slice of pizza or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, or simply spending time with those he loved, he was happiest when life was uncomplicated. He was known for his generous heart and unwavering willingness to help others. Richard would gladly give his last dollar or the shirt off his back to someone in need, never expecting anything in return. Whenever anyone worried about him, his response was always the same: “I’ll be alright.” Those words became a reflection of the quiet strength and selflessness that defined his life. Richard also had a wonderfully playful side. His children will forever cherish the silly phone calls, the laughter, the stories, and even the stubbornness that made him uniquely Dad. The little moments that once seemed ordinary have become some of their most treasured memories. Above all else, Richard loved his family. He was the proud father of five children and Pop-Pop to seven grandchildren—Colton, Delaney, Ember, Deagan, Cayson, Aubrey, and Bryce. Nothing made him happier than seeing them smile, and he treasured every moment he spent with them. Richard is survived by his children, Kyle, Mara, Kenny, Melinda, and Richard Jr.; his brother, Butch Frake; and his seven beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Biago Frake; his brothers, Bobby and Joey Frake; and his faithful companion, Maverick, who we like to imagine was waiting to welcome him home. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the lessons Richard left behind: to care for one another, to help whenever we can, to appreciate life’s simple moments, and to believe that somehow, even through life’s hardest days, we’ll all be alright. Dad, you never needed much, but you gave your family everything. We will carry your love, your kindness, your laughter, and your memory with us always. You are deeply loved, profoundly missed, and will never be forgotten. A memorial service celebrating Richard’s life will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at Perinchief Chapels, 438 High Street, Mount Holly, New Jersey 08060. Family and friends may visit from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. prior to the memorial service.
